Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious DZ Driver with a valid Air Brake (Z) endorsement to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and pickup of goods while maintaining excellent customer service and following all transportation regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate DZ trucks equipped with air brake systems safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load, unload, and secure materials safely when required.
- Deliver products to customer locations according to scheduled routes.
- Complete delivery paperwork, logbooks, and inspection reports accurately.
- Follow all Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations and company safety policies.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, or delays promptly.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.
- Assist with warehouse duties when required.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario DZ Driver’s Licence with a Z (Air Brake) endorsement.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Minimum 3 years of DZ driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Ontario road safety regulations and MTO requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Forklift certification is an asset (if applicable).
Working Conditions
- Full-time position.
- Morning shifts with overtime available as needed.
- Local deliveries with occasional extended hours based on operational requirements.
